Smoke meat Pete :
This little rustic restaurant is situated oh so far from my usual downtown. It’s such a shame because their smoke meat is.. oh so good. Let’s start with the ambiance of the restaurant. I have to say that might be the only point that makes me wince. Once you get inside that little store, there’s this smokey scent (self-explanatory) that gets a hold on you, and will follow you for hours even after you left the place. Second thing is the place itself. I catch the whole rustic mood of the place but their table have this transparent plastic cover over the wood. It makes think that the table and the whole place is greasy. So I feel a bit uncomfortable to eat on the table. Other than that, the blues music adds a nice atmosphere. They also have a place for a blues band to play. What is nice about this place, well, it could also be frustrating, is the fact that it is first come, first serve. So you pay first and then you can choose between the tables left.
The ambiance aside, we can now talk about the food. Lets’s keep it simple.
Smoke meat.
Juicy, falls apart,smokey, with pepper inside, dream-like. One of the best, if not the best I ever had, Must.
French Fries.
Awesome, my favourite fires; fried, dried, then REfried. Crunchy outside, soft and mushy inside. miam
They also served ribs and steak but I never even thought of picking those. I mean the smoke meat steals all the fame!
The food is a bit pricy, though, but I don’t mind paying for quality! the regular combo (Smoke meat + Fries + beverage) is 9.75$ and the jumbo combo (the one I always get) is 13.50$. It is totally worth it.
